Where are adult manhwa raws published?
These are the Korean platforms readers point each other to for official adult raws:
- Bomtoon. Heavy on BL and romance, including 19+ titles. It's supported in the OpenToon importer.
- Ridibooks. A Korean ebook and comic store, strong on BL and drama, including 19+ titles. You buy a chapter or volume and keep it.
- Lezhin KR. Lezhin publishes mature and BL manhwa. The Korean store usually has more chapters than the English one, and gets them earlier.
- KakaoPage. Better known for action, romance and isekai hits.
Naver, the biggest Korean webtoon platform, is where most general-audience webtoons start.

Why can't you see 19+ titles from outside Korea?
Korean platforms hide adult titles until your account passes an age check. Inside Korea, that check usually runs through a Korean phone number. Without one, the standard Korean check won't work for you.
You don't need a Korean phone number, though. Bomtoon and Ridibooks both have a way in for overseas readers. The steps are different on each platform, so pick the one where your series lives and start there.
A couple of things to have ready:
- An account on the platform. Email or social login works on Bomtoon.
- A way to pay. The newest chapters are almost always paid. Bomtoon and Ridibooks both accept overseas credit cards. See buying chapters on Bomtoon and buying chapters on Ridibooks.
- Your browser's translate feature. The sites are in Korean. On Chrome desktop, click the 3 dots in the top right corner, then "Translate...".
How do you get 19+ access on Bomtoon?
Bomtoon verifies overseas readers by hand, through a support inquiry. It takes a few minutes to apply and about a week to get approved.
- Create a Bomtoon account. Go to Bomtoon, click the profile icon, and sign up with a social login or your email.
- Open the 1:1 Inquiry form. Click your profile icon, then "customer service center", then "1:1 Inquiry".
- Pick "Foreign adult certification" from the inquiry type dropdown.
- Upload a screenshot of your ID. A driver's license, national ID card or passport. They only need your name, nationality and date of birth, so you can blur out the rest.
- Wait about a week. Bomtoon doesn't email you. Go back to the 1:1 Inquiry page and look for "Adult Certification Completed".
- Toggle the "19" in the top bar to show adult titles.
Still can't see adult titles after approval? That's a known issue on Bomtoon's side. Send another 1:1 Inquiry with the type set to "Error", and it usually gets fixed in 1-2 days.

How do you get 19+ access on Ridibooks?
Ridibooks is the easy one. As of June 2025, Ridibooks no longer asks overseas readers for an ID. Click verify age on an R19 title, enter your date of birth and country, and you're done.

What about Lezhin KR and KakaoPage?
Lezhin KR is worth knowing because of the chapter gap. Lezhin runs an English store and a Korean one, and the Korean side almost always has more chapters, earlier. If your series is on Lezhin English and you've caught up, the Korean store is where the next chapters are.
KakaoPage needs a Kakao account, and overseas access is a bit fiddly. You top up credits in the KakaoPage mobile app, then buy chapters on the website. Our KakaoPage buying guide walks through it.

How do you read adult manhwa raws in English?
Once you've got 19+ access and unlocked the chapter, you're holding a Korean raw. You can learn Korean, point Google Translate's camera at every panel, or translate the whole chapter in one go.
